Artists seeking representation
It may be helpful to know right away that our Artist/Agent contracts are exclusive; we do not share Artists with other agencies. The territories covered by our agreements are USA, UK and Canada.
We are currently accepting for review portfolios from Artists and are particularly interested in those with a digital, realistic style, although any medium is acceptable at this time. We are always interested in reviewing bright, colorful and somewhat quirky artwork which is hard to define, but we’ll know it when we see it .
Published and unpublished illustrators are welcome to submit samples for review.
Please send both color and black line samples in the following format:
- Resolution: 300 DPI
- Color Format: RGB
- File Format: JPEG
- Size maximum: 81⁄2” x 101⁄2” - Minimum 6” x 9”
General Guidelines:
Art should be cropped, clean and ready to print on an 81⁄2” x 11” piece of paper.
Color and black line spot art should be arranged by theme and grade level with approximately 8 spots per page.
Art should be saved to a non-returnable disc and organized into folder headings as displayed on our website. Please accompany your disc with a letter of introduction briefly outlining your experience and publications. Digital experience is of particular interest to us at this time so proficiency in any art program should be noted.
This agency receives multiple, unsolicited, artist submissions on a daily basis and tries to respond to each one within one month of submission. Please note that submissions of artwork inappropriate for children’s books and related materials will be discarded without acknowledgement.
